What brand of half shafts and rear diffs is every one running and what do you think is the biggest bang for the buck? Which one are to be avoided

Gforce 9" here.

Best bang for the buck is the ZL1 setup if you are buying new. However, depending on what you will do with the car (toy vs race car and what kind of racing - autocross, road race, time attack, drag racing, 1/2-1.5 mile events) it might be cheaper in the long run to go with a 9" or S60 set up. You know, the "buy once, cry once" kind of deal.

Automatic vs manual also fits here. A manual is harder (drive line shock) on parts than an auto but again, what kind of racing? Drag racing is harder on the drive line than the others I listed. Endurance events seem to be harder on the engine than the trans and rear end. I posted a lot of generalities here but just wanted to share some insight.

There is also the stock differential you can upgrade with an Eaton tru track, billet caps, LPW cover, and aftermarket axles.

I suppose you have to ask yourself "what is my budget?" and weigh that against "what do I want?"

To be honest probably just a toy, I won't do a roll bar so anytime I run faster than 13.5s I will be asked to leave or slow down at the track, but I agree with you when my stuff does break buy the stuff that will last and yes that usually does make you cry and the sales man cry one in a omfg way that was alot of Dinero and the other in rejoice going ca ching but I do plan having this car along time and to also teach my son how to work on cars with this one

Think I will be doing a g force 2 boost controler, I want to conceal it so it can't be seen so I'm thinking maybe velcro under the instrument panel so I can lay it flat or have it hang down when I need it, and I will be able to see my boost level through my hud so I won't need to have it visible except when I want to play with my boost

Well only had a couple hours to work on it, should be further along but spent to much time on looking for tool exhaust is ready to drop, coil packs are off and ready to remove 10 more bolts to drop the front end and ready to have to disconnect some hoses and will be ready to remove the intake manifold
