I know I know, i'm really trying to ignore those comments and believe they cant be true but I just can't help it!
Well, I am not fully decided at this point but the auto has a few things going for it in my opinion:

active fuel management, I want to drive my V8 every day and I would appreciate getting good mileage.

better performance numbers

tap shift -while not the automated manual like on exotics, it would at least allow me to pretend I have a manual sometimes.

On the other hand, manually shifting the gears in a muscle car just seems so right.

Most likely the LT/RS manual, but who knows, maybe I'll give in and get the V8.

L99 RS/SS with all the goodies including the catback exhaust and HP intake system so it can breath. I sure hope the Boston Acoustics premium sound is more than just a name. The Marc Levinson 7.1 in the Lexus has made all of my other Bose sound systems sound like something out of the 60's.

Then probably the convertable when it is ready unless something with a Z shows it's head. Maybe if they share the same garage I can do some breeding.

Went SS/RS w/the manual. It'll be my first manual, and I don't care if the preliminary GUESSES at times are .2 seconds slower, I won't be taking it to the track anyway, only driving around town killing slowstangs. As far as I'm concerned, those times are severely low-balled so GM can then be the hero and over-deliver when they actually get real times. Either way, the manual is the way to go for me. Only dilemma here is, do I wait until December '09 (which really means I wait until spring/summer '10 since it'd just sit in the garage til spring anyway) so I can get the HUD like in my GP GXP or screw the HUD and buy next spring/summer....

PS - on AFM... the LS4 in my GP GXP has AFM and it does NO GOOD if you're driving around mashing the gas, trust me. Added to that, it only turns on when cruising in top gear for extended periods of time. Maybe it'll be diff in the maro, but that's how the 07 GP is. However, I will say that I've seen as much as 27MPGs out of that engine, which isn't too shabby.

Want the Big SS/RS with a 6, but you know the wife will never go for it So looks like 3.6L DI V6 300hp LT/RS w/manual , but will 300 horse and room too make more think it will be ok, and easier to get by the wife. Hopefully she dont make me get an auto so she can drive it Anyway its still a camaro and looks sweet with 27 MPG

Probally going Red with black stripes if I like the stripes
