Tires

So the stock sizing of the tires are 285/35-20-front and 305/35-20-rear..... If you aren’t using stock sizing on your Zs what are you all using? Can I go from a 305 to a 315 on the back without any changes to anything else and be okay?
Thanks

Dropping the profile size is generally a bad idea unless you increase the width. If you do this you are looking at a shorter tire height. This was keep you lower to the ground but also change gearing/speedo. Going from a 305 to a 315 isn't a huge jump. I wouldn't worry so much about that.

The ride will be a little rougher with less sidewall but it may not be a big deal.

We have had several customers run the 275/35/20 fronts and 315/35/20 rears on the ZL1/1LE wheels without any issues.

Your wife has been complaining you spend too much time on the computer. I just sent her back home so it's time you pretend you've been cutting the grass today.
Edit: To the OP 315 rears ! Less chance of curb rash too.

Ditto. I just installed 315 rears and love 'em! The hook much better (almost all the time in my climate) and look sick.

The ZL1 understeers as delivered by the factory. Adding 315s to the rear increases the understeer. It is all good in a straight-line and not so good if you like to carve corners. It all depends on how you use her.

335 rear fits but is sloppy handling

315 is good....also is a sport SUV size and easier/cheaper to find.

Go to TireRack.com, enter your vehicle, it will provide you with stock sizes and tires that are produced in said sizes. Don't put an SUV tire on a 580hp pony car. It's an easy process. Good luck!
