Changed my oil today at 1,200 miles. Pan was easy to remove. I had salt underneath and my car even though it has been in CA since delivery, so it had to be from plant. Oil looked pretty clean. Used K&N 1017 filter and Mobile one 5W-30. Plan to install a FilterMag RA300 so I did not change out the drain plug. While I had the pan down I installed an Apex skip shift eliminator (10 minute job). Also ran a curb alert cable from the sensor on the lower front spoiler through the firewall before putting pan back up. I can see why a dealership would charge >$120 to change the oil - it will take 10 minutes just do unbolt the pan, and then 8 qts of oil.

Now that this thread is a month old and I have my car... This is SALT from the factory...

I had to remove my fenderwell for DRL harness the other day and there is salt and rust everywhere. Being #23 it sat out in the snow for quite a while...:(

Here at the dealer getting my oil change at 2,000 miles. This was their first ZL1 oil change. Mechanic got the bolts off with no problem but had a tough time getting the 2 plastic fasteners off. They were on so tight that they broke off. He is putting on 2 new ones. I don't understand why GM would put 10 bolts on and 2 plastic push ins. Just fyi for those who have yet to get the oil changed. Those 2 may be tough to get off.
