I have driven both the normal SS and I have the 1LE and to me it's night and day. Mine is a DD when I'm not on the bike I didn't get it to track it but it's nice to have that option if I wanna do it. I got mine more because I like being a little different and this fits the bill very well.

I love everything about the 1LE except for them forgetting to paint the hood. LOL

It's a good package but it's not worth trading your car in...
It's removable vinyl.

Oh haha I'm too tired to notice internet humor. Tons of people on here actually think that.

Just wait until they come out with a 2LE, then everyone will want and or wish they had that.
The only reason why I didn't go for the 1LE was that I specifically wanted an automatic. But I agree with others that its a good value for the extras. |

The OP isn't wondering if the 1LE is better than the SS... clearly it is. And just as clearly if a person were buying their first Camaro the 1LE option is a no brainer, if performance is a priority. He's asking is it THAT much better to justify trading in an SS in order to upgrade.
So now the $3500 option becomes $3500 plus the depreciation on your current car... which is going to be more, possibly many more, thousands of dollars... and the answer becomes far less clear. I personally would not do it, but that's just me. |

Actually I have a 2012 SS with FE4 suspension I drive around pretty aggressively but the street is no racetrack. Obviously the 1LE will outperform on the track but if I went to a track it would probably be a drag strip. I don't find myself wishing my car would corner or brake better on the street, if I bought one it would just be completely posing.

There's a reason it costs more than the Hurst. Wish I wasn't so cheap I might buy one.
