if you are thinking about adding heater to your seats
you will find it in the pic
7. Seat back heater
13. Seat cushion htr

it seem that you have to take off the seat cover

I have replaced my cloth seats cover for my 1LT to orange_leather_OEM cover and it wasn't an easy job, and i don't have the heater

I found a set out of a camaro that has been in an accident, not sure if they use the same wiring harness no matter what, or if I could just order the correct harness from Chevrolet. think I am just going to roll the dice and find out

well if I can find a wrecked one and just buy the whole thing, I think I am going to get it mapped out once and for all, there doesn't seem to be a big crowd looking for this specific mod, but I am going to attempt to transplant the factory heated seats and leather onto the frame of the original cloth seats, if not I will just use the covers and call it good without the heat.

I am not sure if the controls are integrated into the software of the head unit, or they are actual buttons on the head unit, but if its software it may be possible to get it flashed/updated to reflect the change in hardware, like with the pdim and the steering wheel controls. will go look at one tomorrow to see what all you would need

i found 2 pic of radio w/ heated sead and one w/o

Some people use radio dash kit when they replace their radio w/ aftermarket radio, see the link
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2010-...fAudioQ5fVideo

in the description it say it support heated seat, but i'm not sure if it require BCM update like the radio steering wheel control switch

Any updates on this? Im going from a 1ss cloth, no heated buttons to purchasing the entire leather seats from a friend who is installing racing seats. I need to add the head unit with the heated seat buttons. What else do I need to do ?

thank you!
I ran down and checked it out and the heated seat controls are located on the knob for the heating/cooling on the head unit, I know you can get aftermarket heated seats, but I would rather spend a little more and get the factory appearance, so I went ahead and bought the head unit with the factory controls off of ebay, going to pull it apart when it gets here and see if I can swap the controls over onto mine, if not I will try swapping the units out. it is fun to try to figure these things out and in the end my wife's back will thank me
