I've ordered a lot of cars and made the deal before the car came in but if the price went up on the msrp It changed the deal by what ever price it went up. But, also if any incentives came in I got them.

MY paper work clearly states that the price shown below is the final price.

Ok so thats the final price.. Dont get the $500 incentive.. Funny how if it's money for you then you want it. But money you have to pay you don't. It even's out with mark up and the 500 rebate.. Quit whining. If you don't want the Car because of something dealer had no control over then don't get it... Pretty sure its easy for dealership to flip car. And what paperwork? You signed the contract already, and have the purchased ordered signed? The car still isn't even yours. It's the dealers.

There is price protection except in the case of the back up sensors. If the car was ordered without and built with, you pay the higher price. There is price protection for the freight increase as well. None of this has any affect on rebates. Rebates apply at time of delivery.

Look, IMO here's the bottom line. Any respectable dealer will honor the agreed upon price when you signed the original paperwork. Really, how much can a vehicle go up over 8-10 weeks normally? I agree that a buyer who got caught between the backup sensor stuff should pay the increase for the sensors but the freight and base increases, no. We're talking a few hundred dollars and it is in the dealer's best interests to keep customers happy in this environment. JMO. That being said, my original order before I switched dealers specifically said MSRP at time of delivery. I knew it, I signed it, and I wouldn't have bitched about it had they forced me to eat whatever increase(s).
