PICTURES will speak louder than words. I would LOVE to seen the car on here with taste. Speed Does Kill and maybe something good could come out of someone else seeing what Speed Can Do. I know it slowed me down after I moved over for a tail gater and then got back in the fast lane and I bumped his bumper going 105 MPH and we both almost lost control. I got back in the slow lane and stayed there and I don't let tail gaters, well anyway you know where I'm going with this store. Sorry for being so long. Today I'm a much slower driver because of just the above.

Just my opinion, but it should be illegal for people that young to have cars with that much horsepower. You should have to "graduate" to powerful cars.

I'll tell you this, if I was 19 and was given a 426hp sports car as a gift, I would've driven it as fast as possible, crashed it and died.

You're just not mentally ready for it, that's why the insurance rates are so high.

Sad story but there's a lesson there. For both parents and youth.

I had a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner when I was 17. I did top it out one night (bounced the speedometer on 140), never crashed it and lived to trade it in on a Pinto when I got drafted. Generalities seldom hold integrity in the face of specifics.

I have, on the 3 accidents being the one right there when it happened pulled over and ran out to help anyone there. You never know what you'd do until it happens and then your instinct kicks in...some watch, some drive on as if nothing happen, and some try to help in any way possible. It's crazy to witness something first hand which I'm sure we all have but you quickly realize that a car, no matter what you drive, is a mobile weapon that if you use incorrectly can have dire...dire...consequences. I would not have photographed personally because I feel it disrespectful to those who were hurt/killed in the accident however DO agree that this is something you pass on to those who are more immature with their driving style and instruct them that this could have very easily been them driving. My .02 worth and sad to see another Camaro off the road. Only good news out of this story is that multiple cars were not involved...
You cannot be sued if helping in good faith. There is a law against that.

Does it matter? You better know there's a difference between 312hp and 426hp, 275 lb-ft torque and 420 lb-ft torque. You better know it's worse to have her driving the V8 then the V6.

WOW Really

This is a sad end to a life and this is all you can say.

Who cares what size engine, model of camaro, or color.

Prayers to the family in this tragic time.

2 years ago on prom nite, a local teen was drinking and driving, wrecked her car and killed herself and everyone in the car w/ her. The school picked the car up from the wreck yard and put it on the front lawn of the HS these kids attended. It was a constant reminder all summer long of choices and conciquences.

In THIS situation, when the car is already wrecked....it does NOT matter if it was an SS or LT. Would it have happened to this particular driver in either car? Probably. Both are capable of deadly speeds...and although I own the SS, I have driven the V6, and that is one impressive car. Is it often stupid to put a teenager in one of these powerhouses? Most of the time...yes....most teens DO think that it can't happen to them.

However...DONT blame the 400+ horses if it was an SS. This was a case of not being prepared and/or able to drive under the conditions, and paying a very high price for it.
