Great info man, thanks! Even though 700 USD is a lot per year, this sounds like less than some other cantons. I read somewhere that in some places you have to pay 7,000 CHF per year for engines over 3.0L
Does the fleetcar prices include the modifications to EURO standards? Lights, turn indicators, etc.?

taxes.... fleetcar..
...this 7000 CHF is definitely fake..
 not possible! worst case you may pay about 1800 CHF may be in a very small canton.. but... for insurance it can get a horrible thing, if the driver is very young, had already a lot accidents and so on.... there you could rise up to CHF 4000.00 or even more a year!  In the moment it seems that a fully ss will cost about CHF 70000.00 all included and road ready.. i think about in 2-3 weeks we'll have the correct prices..

It's here!
The 2010 Camaro has finally arrived in Switzerland! I went to see the probably first one in the country!
It's a 2SS, manual, silver with black stripes. Although silver is not my favorite color, it does show off the beautiful lines of the car quite nicely. But this car demands a REAL color, silver looked very bland, especially standing next to a grabber blue (?) 2010 'Stang. Imagine this car in IOM...  Anyways, here are some pics:

Congrats on the 1st Camaro in Switzerland! I'm a 1st generation Swiss-American in California. Still waiting for my 5th Gen, but I've got some 1st and 2nd Gens to keep me company while I wait. I've visited CH quite a few times and I've always enjoyed seeing/respected every muscle car that I saw over there (and there weren't very many, but they were beautiful!).

 just informed from my dealer that MY CAMI 9103261 instead of shipping to Europe (was prepaid from my dealer!) was SOLD from "Autohaus Miami" for over 5000-7000 USD over Price to...... ANYBODY with a lot of money..  that's really boring and not serious business!!!

I have mine on order and hopefully it will not be a pain in the a$$ to get it on Swiss streets after I come back next year.
In the canton of St. Gallen (where I used to live) the annual taxes will be around CHF 750.- (charged on weight). Compared to Graubünden (where I work) it is quite reasonable, they charge on ccm/PS and are about CHF 1600.-! |
