Another New Member and Proud 1LE Owner

It's a 2014 1SS with the 1le package. Got it three weeks ago. It's got some issues that I've got to get sorted, but... what a machine!!!

What kind of issues does it have? It's a brand new car basically. Congratulations though I cannot wait to get mine.

Issues...

1) I just think the exhaust is, well... not very good. Granted, that's not as much an "issue" as it is something I just don't like. The same goes for the skip shift which *sigh*... WHY!?!?!?!?!

2) The clutch/trans/drive train is really noisy, especially after it gets warm. When I'm accelerating in 1st and second there is a very slight hissing/grinding that my dealership keeps telling me is normal. I really don't know how to describe it. I'm not a mechanic so I'm not too terribly good at troubleshooting what it actually is. When the clutch is let out (in neutral) you can hear the fly wheel spinning pretty loudly.

The dealership has just told me I'm not used to driving a track car, but I don't know, it just sounds very weird to me.

Nice car, do you have the standard exhaust or the npp dual mode?

Standard. Wish I could have gotten the dual mode but I got the one in the show room. Didn't have it built.

Congrats! and welcome to the "permagrin" club!! btw - skip shift can be easily eliminated, so can Hill Start Assist . search the forums for the DIY mods for these.

I'm aware, I just don't want to void my warranty at this point

Congratulations! Awesome 1LE! I've noticed the same drivetrain noise, but figured it is 'ok' and part of the package... just like others, 'permagrin' in place and everyone on the road 'notices' you with the 1LE

Congrats!

Ditto on the trans noise. Just getting near 1000 miles on mine and the noise is ever present and everyone says it's normal for this car. (And your dealer is full of crap with the "track car" statement. There are plenty of other brands that don't make such noises.)

I also have the standard exhaust, but I was ok with that up front because of the local harassment. The NPP is soooooo much better sounding though.

Hill assist doesn't bother me, but the skip shift must die. What a nuisance.
