The c/b will have smoother bends and transitions to the bends, along with no flat spots in the tubing like the stocker does. The 304SS Borla uses is also of a much higher quality than the OEM 409SS system. I really like the SLP system with the mid-mounted resonators as well as the Borla S-type system. Pypes also makes a great sounding mid-mounted system as well. I have the Flowmaster Outlaw a/b and it has pretty good tone, but it's wake the dead loud, even with stock manifolds. It also drones ridiculously so @ 1950-2100rpm. Can hardly hear myself think.

You don't know the meaning of "wake the dead" until you add long tube headers. You wouldn't hear the axle back beside my car lol

It's not that bad once you get used to it lol or until you go under a bridge and gun it. Sweet music to my ears.

My car is going to be stock besides the Axleback and maybe a CAI, and I'm currently deciding between the ATAK and S Type.

Here is mine http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=499

The sound has gotten alot deeper since I installed it

You'd be very surprised how loud my car is. It makes your ears tickle if you're within 10ft or so of the ass end and I whack the throttle good. I can't even imagine LT's and no cats......... Good lord!!

The Borla S Type mufflers just aren't quite enough for me. My 2c
Thanks for the input. In all likely hood, I'll only get an axleback for the next few years, maybe a CAI. I probably won't get too wild until the warranty is up.

That's just what I was going to ask, is it significantly louder then stock? Also, is there any popping or anything on Decel? I want a good difference from stock but not enough to wake the neighbors when I'm up early for work.
