2013 LS3 1SS vs 2013 Grand Cherokee SRT-8
Some guy wants to run my BONE STOCK SS with his brand spanking new Jeep SRT-8 from a dig. Again, we are both STOCK, the Jeep is 4x4 of course. How do you think this race will play out?

That's why he wants from a dig to give him the advantage, tell him you wanna start from a roll. I wouldn't even waste burning up your tires from a dig but that's just me

stock times for Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 0-60 MPH 4.4 seconds 1/4 mile - 13.0 seconds. If you need a SUV, at least you can have some fun driving it!

We launched, the SRT-8 didn't spin as expected, I spun a bit in 1st gear. He jumped out only half a car infront of me, when I hooked I caught up to him, threw in 2nd gear, I stretched 1 to 1 1/2 cars in front, 3rd gear I just kept on walking him and let off about 2-3 cars in front... So yeah, I won...

LS3 SS M6 is a mid 12s car so you have 5 cars of cushion on your launch to get a 13.0 Jeep. People need to get over launching RWD cars. RWD hooks nicely, FWD is the problem area.

I think the way car mags launch awd vehicles (that they do not own), is much, much different than the way your average Joe would launch the awd vehicle that he owns, and would have to pay to repair. A fairly aggressive launch of a 400ish hp RWD vehicle will not cause the rear tires to go up in a poof of smoke. A RWD vehicle should be able to launch pretty damn hard without too much in the way of traction problems. The only way that an awd vehicle has a big traction advantage over rwd if if the launch is brutal, and most sane drivers just aren't willing to do that in their new awd vehicle.

Nice kill, even though I have a first gen SRT I have to admit the new WK2 is way overpriced. Ive knocked down a few, they gained some weight now and even with the 6.4 they dont hold up as well. He should have at least had a whole car on ya, off the launch though, dont think ive had a camaro get within a car of me at launch yet. btw black 1SS 6M, exactly what I would have if I was to pick up a new one, nice ride.
