2011 was the first Gt to have the ability to run 12's. other than that gt's were slow as balls.

Thats all I was saying is that making a comment like that is goofy. Sure, the new 5.0 is the first 12 second GT.

the fact that anyone with 25K can go out and buy a lightly used stock base v8 model pony car and run 12s is pretty nasty.

Why are you so stuck on how fast a Mustang GT is?

Ford's 427 was THE performance engine, not the 428. Get the Camaro to hook up, and I'd put my money on a L78 over a 428 stang. As a police engine, the 428 was a dog compared to the Polaras with the 440, but that's first hand experience and not from a magazine article.

I wouldn't take a 5.0 with nitrous lightly. I had a 2011 with a 3.73 rear end and it could do under 13s in a 1/4. So, to end this line up and beat him. Until you do, he can say what he wants and he is under no obligation to open the hood. Modifications often give diminishing returns. That is why heavily modified cars are almost always worth less than those left in stock configuration. My 2010 GT500 has over 500 hp and torque. Do I really need a bigger supercharger and pulley to get 700 hp? No. And in 10 years we can revisit the which engine lasts longer stock the LS3 or my 5.4L fossil iron block slug. We can say what we want now, but only time will really tell.

This quote here is exactly why I bought my camaro. Everyone and there brother has a mustang at least in this area. That statement is so true that 30 yrs from now the market for these mustangs will be so flooded with cars they won't be worth as much as the camaro or the dodge challengers. The gt500 the boss cars will be ok value wise but I'm afraid the gt value will be in the gutter. Not trying to bash ford can't say I blame them from a company standpoint if you can build that many and sell them then by all means do it and they are great looking cars that perform well if that wasn't true they wouldn't sell so many.

Me personally I would rather drive something different. Around here I drive around my 2ss/rs I get looks thumbs up had some guy drive up beside me on a damn bicycle to tell me nice car lol and although the mustang is a very nice car i don't see it getting as much attention due to the vast numbers of them.
