ZL1 (has 9.9" ring gear) >>> SS (8.6" ring gear)

You'll only be able to go 3.73 with the ZL1 but that should suffice.

Option A with the ZL1 diff instead of the SS diff but with all those other fixins is what sounds good to me, but at that point, you're getting closer to a 9" setup or then even a solid axle, as far as costs go

In a perfect world yes. I don't plan on pushing the car any further than its current power level so I'm not sure if i NEED the ZL1 diff.

What's you're use? Road course/spirited DD I'd do the SS, Drag I'd do the ZL1.

The ZL1 can handle shock loads associated with drag racing better. The SS is lighter and more efficient and is plenty strong as described for a daily or something that is looking to get off an apex faster.

Mainly spirited DD. Maybe i'd go to the track once a year, but honestly since i'm a convertible they aren't gonna be happy with me anyway.
