I'm running Pirelli Ice + Snow on stock SS rims, 275's in back and 245's in front. Just put them on.

Rudy,
I'm curious what you'd recommend for me. I have a 2013 ZL-1. I live in Atlanta though I will soon be moving to Fort Worth, TX. It's occassionally below 40 degrees (F) in ATL, and rarely as low as 10 degrees. I expect Fort Worth to be similar in the winter.
I also expect not to be driving in snow, as it doesn't accumulate here, but possibly on hail and ice.
I wouldn't even be considering winter tires & wheels, but I saw a post about possible cracking of the OEM tires below just 40 degrees.
I've already noticed poor traction just from the cold (in dry conditions).
Should I get a winter tire & wheel set? Are there any winter tires that would be effective in mostly dry conditions?
Thanks,
Michael
PS I saw your 19-inch Enkei Raijins and Michelin Alpins and thoguht they'd be good if I had to get something. Can I go from 20" to 19"?

Yes you can go 19's that set up above will work good but I have some stock issues on the wheels. I have an ASA GT5 that will work and its less $$. The Michelins would be one of the better options for mostly dry conditions. Please give me a call and I will be happy to assist.

So far I have not driven on any real snow, just in cold wet conditions. The tires handle well at colder temps, I've seen 28F while driving. I've had the car up to 70 mph and it felt good. So I'd say that I'm happy about getting this 2nd set of tires/snows because the car drives good in cold weather, but I look forward to driving in a snow storm to test them.

If I stab the gas from a stop it will kick out like I'm on regular radial so still have to be careful.

Hello all!
First post after half a year of lurking. Just wanted to give Rudy a shout out for the terrific job he does. Had a few snowy days here in NH and couldn't be happier. Explorer in front of me was spinning out as I rode on by on the Blizzaks. Wishing everyone a safe and happy New Years.

Thanks for the shout out. I appreciate your business. Its always funny to watch an SUV spin out as you drive on by.

Happy New Year!

Finally drove in a little snow, my Pirelli Ice + Snow tires were great. This was the car at Ohare Airport parked outside:

Awesome, thanks for the update. Could you give us more detail as in depth of snow, how they performed on hills, etc?
