Did you hear that engine when it rolled by? That's no regular sound to my ears. Plus, all the people who witnessed the two black V8's in Florida said it didn't sound like much at idle so that makes me think that this car isn't a regular V8.

Awesome vid and pics btw guys! She looks awesome

I'd have to hear the Florida cars myself to judge that. From this video though, it sounds very much how I'd expect a naturally aspirated unit to sound. We'll all know soon enough (the wait is killing me!).

Yup. Maybe the guys who spotted it in FL can tell us how it sounded compared to this one.

You know, if we still had the writers' strike, I'd say get all the Hollywood film and sound crews out there doing spy work for us. Maybe then we could get some kick-ass shots and sound clips!

(not to detract from the kick-assedness of this video)

I have to ask as an obviously less historically-informed Camaro enthusiast than some (or even most) of you: on past Camaros has that hockey stick been more of a Z\28 thing or an SS thing?

if the z28 get and ls3 and a ss gets a ls9 example im getting the ls3.... if the the z28 and base get the L76 and the ss gets an ls3 im getting the ls3

think about this... 3 v8 engine possibilities...l76, ls3, supercharged v8???

dont really care what happens with the cars looks i can make it look how i want... i just want the top non supercharged motor a 6 speed and 4 seats

Stripes were always more of a z28/ or RS package.

The Hockey stripes were on SS Camaros and the dual hood and trunk lid stripes were on the Z/28.

Thumbs up stripes

They are right and wrong, back in the day you could get what ever option you wanted on your Camaro, 60 options from the factory and 30 from the dealer and it did matter what year you were talking about 67, 68, 69. Just different options from year to year. Sorry if my info is not right on the money.

Im pretty sure the camaro in the video is a z28 because from the years 1995-2002(excluding anniversary packages) the z28's (well most) had there side mirrors painted black. Where the SS package the mirrors were the same color as the car. but please correct me if im wrong =)

Aaron - I used a Sony DSC too. I love those cameras.

Someone indicated that having "only" the same engine as the G8 GXP would be a bad thing for the Camaro. Why is that? I don't know about you, but having the top engine from a large sport sedan in a little compact sports coupe sounds like a heck of a lot of fun to me, especially with the reviews the L76 powered GT got.
