Ordered Tonight - 2LT and Priority #1!!!
Guys and Gals,
I am so excited. I ordered my Victory Red, 2LT RS tonight and I am priority #1. They have 7 allocations with 4 2SS orders in house and only my V6 order on the books. They were great too. I stopped in to talk with them 3 times and shot the crap for hours each time. Very straight forward dealer and as honest as can be. They showed me the printout of the allocation from GM Launch to be up front and honest too. Bought the car at MSRP and they threw in a year's oil changes plus tickets to the private showings at the Chicago Auto Show as a kicker. TOP KNOTCH,,,,, so far So when should I expect letters from GM? Sounds like it varies greatly. Thanks to eveyone on this site for providing the information necessary for me to lay out some serious cash. Couldnt have done it without all of you. And for those of you that hate emoticons

Congrats! It sounds like you had a VERY satisfying experience with your dealer. Maybe you got one of the canceled V8 allocations from all the cancelers on here. I'm liking the Rob Zombie too.

If I remember right, most of us have 'Priority #1' on our order workbench paperwork. So this may not mean you'll get your first. However you do have a better chance now that you've ordered a V6.
Good for you though! |

They have a total of 5 cars on order in workbench including mine. 4 SS"s and 1 V6. Saw this in the tool itself. I am of course not holding my breath, but its promising. Either way it should be a cool summer! Cannot wait.
So any idea's on how long it takes to get letters and access codes to the web?

As far as I know, dealers will get two V6's first, one a "no count/stock" car and the second against their total allotments. So, you being the only V6 order, you should get your car very early on, possibly May or so.
As far as the letter, delivery has been very sporadic and not based at all on order date or region of the country. You may get yours before I finally get mine and I ordered on 10/18.

All sold order types (SRE) go in as a number 1 priority by default and then the dealer can change them anyway they want. If they have seven orders and you are the only V6, that's a good thing. It should get built as long as a previous V8 customer doesn't change his order to a V6.
