The 40hp estimate, would that be at the wheels or the crank?

yeah i agree, no easy gains here.

that would be at the wheels, the engine hasnt been camed before so i wouldnt know hard numbers there might be alot more gain or maybe alot less.

i liked my V6 though. be the dealer gave me a good deal that i couldnt say no to. the crazy thing is i bought the car for 30,000 with 4 miles on it and now he is selling it for 33,000 with 10,000 miles on it

you could always do a custom grind is your really wanted to cam it but thats some $$

ZEX!!! 55 to 100 HP... figure a complete setup will be about $1000...

Not sure home much cams along will do for this motor... remember we have VVT... My guess is you would need to work the heads along with doing the cams... also probably looking at valves, valve springs, etc.. so even it possible, definitely not going to be cheap...

Oops! Forgot about them. Wasn't some guy finally getting ready to pull the trigger on that set up a week or two ago?

Honestly, if I get that desperate for another 40HP, I'd probably consider selling my 2LT and buying a Challenger RT. It's only about $3K more new and is something like 365HP stock, 0-60 about 4.9 sec.

But right now I'm loving my car...

Off to the body shop to get a quote on more paint ding repairs. [sigh]
