A shop will charge 8-10 hours plus alignment. So it will depend on their shop rate. You may be able to find a local Camaro/Car enthusiast to help you out for a lot cheaper though.

There are a lot of DIYs' on the forum so I'd suggest looking them over. I'd start there and see if you can also find a local to help. Otherwise -- some labor rates are up there... -Don |

If you can, do it yourself. You will save lots of money and you will learn your camaro and be very happy with it. Lots of folks here on the forum have done the installs for the first time.

I did all of that myself in the garage with jackstands. It does take a little mechanical sense to do it, but if you take your time and pay attention to the DIY's here on Camaro5 you should be able to do it.
For tools, you'll need: a set of jackstands (at least a pair) a full metric socket set (10mm to 24mm) a full wrench set (10mm to 21mm) You would have to get creative with the bushing removals (outer trailing arm & cradle). For my outer trailing arm bushing I used a long nut/bolt/washer setup with a small piece of 2" PVC to create my own press. It didn't work very well, but it worked. For the cradle bushings, it takes a lot of patience with a blow torch and your jack but it can be done. I ended up cutting mine out and it was one of the least fun things I've done to the car.

Seems reasonable to me, although you can buy all the wrenches, jackstands, and jack for a lot less...
