Kind of quiet around here lately. I posted a thread about this in the Camaro vs. section but thought I would post here since it was a crushing Mustang defeat.

Our club just finished hosting a time trial event that was Camaro vs Mustang with four different classes. We utilized a 1 mile road course (Grandsport Speedway) and only cones used was to create a tight slalom on the back straight to slow people down. Top speed was around 80 MPH. We had just over 50 cars in attendance.

The way the point system worked was the top three cars in each class scored points for their "team." By doing this it eliminated the side that brought more cars from winning based on sheer numbers. First place in each class scored 5 points for their team, second place in each class scored 3 points for their team and third place in each class scored 2 points for their team. Everyone got 9 runs (unless they had to leave early), top times counted. Results are below, with the top five in each class listed.

Big thanks for the Mustang club(s) coming out and having fun throwing their muscle cars around a track with us.

Final Score, Camaro's: 38 pts, Mustang's 2 pts.

Here's a video of a C7 doing a test run of the course.

Well I haven't bought the Z06 (yet). I have concerns over the ongoing issues. Will there be changes made to the 2017? Should I consider the new ZL1, Z/28? Feeling lost...thoughts?

The only thing that I find interesting, is that the Caddys with the similar engines and trans seem to be trouble free...

...Z06 is no doubt very pricey....I think this could be the top year for the LT4 in a ZL-1 (or Z/28 perhaps with creature comforts)....I think those Camaros might be worth waiting to have a look see....You've waited this long already, just wait a little more....Good luck....

Thanks! Could it be that the airflow passageway is that much better in the CTS-V?

Maybe take a look at these threads, if you haven't already....I think the whole thing is somewhat blown out of proportion with the 'Vette, but not sure....It's unfortunate this Randy Probst thing happened...but, oh well....I'm not sure what the final word was as to why it had problems....

My state in many areas is experiencing wide destruction. I have been very blessed. While I have seen many photos, reports, and videos that show people who have lost their residences, possessions or family/friends; my family and house are fine. Every family member and friend that I have checked on so far has not even had water enter their homes. Their are neighborhoods not even a couple miles from my house that have heavy water damage. Roads are washed out and many people being trapped in their cars. I never even lost power. I was on a short home vacation and missed out on some rescue work that I hope I'll never have to participate in. We have a saying in SC, God is good, all the time and that applies even today. Hope the other Camaro brethren on here are ok too. Be good fellas.

Edit: This pic is from a call I responded to with my volunteer Fire department. A guy decided to kayak in swift water and was trapped. I tried to rally a civilian boat to get to him cause my department doesn't have one. Coast Gaurd boat that just happened to be in the area rescued him while I was getting ready to put in upstream. The orange spec is his kayak. This area is normally swamp water that is typically 2 feet deep at the most. Water was up past his chest as he held onto a tree.
