For daily drivers, I think the OEM pads are great, and that price, for all four corners, doesn't seem too bad to me. You can find a cheaper solution, but why buy a less capable pad? Looking at your mod list, I'm surprised you're cheaping out on pads......not a dig, just an observation.

If you were going to track this car, you'd really need to be using even more capable pads than OE, at the least after the first couple of introductory events.

I'd take eddy up on that offer.

I just put these on:

http://www.jdpmotorsports.com/manufa...gxp-150-d1050k

I got them even cheaper from their holiday sale, but still very reasonable pricing and great service.

So far they perform pretty well on par with the OEM pads. They don't quite have that initial sudden bite, but they feel smoother. They take just a little extra pressure but have very good stopping power. I'm going to say they probably wouldn't be first choice for any track use, but for DD driving I'm happy with them.

Here is a link to a great article on brake pads:

http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/chassis...ad-technology/

This article is about 5-6 years old, but just a great discussion of brake pad technology and includes references to a number of brake pad brands and their specific lines.

I put a set of NAPA Adaptive One pads on an old Volvo we had, and really liked those. They rarely, rarely squeaked. Brake pads are no longer glued to the backing plates - at least in many cases.

Best regards.

Im not here to get into a pissing contest with anyone, im just a stupid driver. This is what i will share though, under "REAL WORLD" conditions. At this event my pads were already worn, and my only purpose was to see if i could get my rotors to glow! I braked as hard as humanly possible with the only purpose in mind was to glow my rotors. I have driven (at times) my car as if it was a "RACECAR" simply as hard as could be driven, and the few events at this level, she performed! Now obviously aftermarket parts have their place. Now im not being an ass, just stating the facts. The day that i did that event at Fontana and put down that incredible time of 1:58.628 which i doubt will be beat, by anyone in similar situations, non stock pads, cam's etc. My point to OP, as i have actual real world racing experience and know what im talking about, yes upgrade your fluid, and go have some fun.

Im including my video of me glowing my rotors on my worn out pads. Now, the pic's, are of me gouging my rotors, and i had to have them turned, but remember, this is all off the showroom floor.
