Need help with footwell tap..

Im getting ready to install my aac footwells. Ive searched a good amount, but couldn't figure definite answer.. Im trying to figure out what size/color tap to use to borrow that power from the grey dome light wire???
I have some t-taps I believe.. that say they are for 18-22 gauge wire.

I tapped into the cigarette lighter. Lights only on when the key is turned on.

I tapped in under the molding on the passenger side of the car but I don't recall what color the wire was. My footwell lights come on when I open the door. I used 18ga wire.

18-22 is correct.

Blue is the color of the taps normally.

Good luck!

I tapped into gray dome. Put a switch under dash. Mine will come on when open door then fade out when door closed. Flip the switch and they stay on all the time. Best of both worlds, IMO.

I taped mine to the light on the traction control button. Works great, I used the barrel taps that screw on at both ends called tap it for 20-22 gauge wire. Part # 604
