Hydrosilex - Spray on Ceramic Coating...anyone tried it?

https://www.hydrosilex.com/

I know that there are now a bunch of Silica coatings that are basically a spray-on + wet the car + dry the car application but I have not seen one that is a Ceramic Coating. Most of us consider a Ceramic Coating the base that you build your paint protection on top of but this product basically says you can just go full ceramic by adding coats of this stuff as many times as you want.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

It is just a silica based spray on/rinse off like Gyeon WetCoat or McKee's Hydro Blue- at almost twice the price. It is not a 9H hardness ceramic coating. It says it is "ceramic based." Its a 5% silica solution.

Stick with WetCoat or HydroBlue bought with discount from a known detailing site.

So my supplier has added HydroSilex to their inventory, meaning I can get it for wholesale price. I may order some and try it out. It is the same price as CarPro Reload on my site, detailedimage.com

I just bought a big bottle of CarPro Reload so I am good for a while but I will be looking for your review/thoughts whenever you get a chance to try it.

That is what I use when drying my cars. On a base of Cquartz and Reload.

If you are buying a LSP (last step product) from any of the major manufacturers, you're going to find that they all work. I like blackfire Crystal seal, Ultima paint guard, carpro reload, and this past weekend and I used McKees37 10 minute sealant on a friend's car, and it came out great. As Mike Philipps from autogeek says : "find something you like and use it often"… And stop trying to chase the next biggest thing…

Just my opin....

Wanna compare? See this HUGE comparison test at autogeek, and my comments (and the writers's) on page 17:

You must leave the fold and never show your face 'round here again!!!!

After I wash the car I use Adam's H2O Guard and Gloss. I like it.

Guard and Gloss is good for windshields also to make water slide off without wipers.

I use it on the glass, too.
