Help with Mirror wiring

Hello folks!
I want to keep my rear camera always on on the mirror.
My 2012 RS convertible has a wind deflector that blocks the vision of the mirror so I need the camera to be on.

I measured the pins on the mirror 10 pin connector and found 12v+ from ignition and ground. I put it in reverse and could not find the switching 12V+ that powers the LCD, I didn't find any signal that changed when on reverse....
Am I missing something?
Can you guys help me out?

Thanks!

Thank you Gord87!
I will measure again the green wire on pin 9, I did measure all the pins in perking and reverse, I don't remember seeing pin 9 changing state.

Thanks!

No prob. May not be the same on the Camaro. I just remember seeing that when I was looking to add rear view mirror camera on my "09 Hoe" and was looking at doing that same thing, but then the wife wanted the whole Double Din w/ Navi and all that jazz.

It didn’t work... :( I think I will have to disassemble the mirror and figure out the electronics inside.

Hate that it didn't. If I get some time, I will dig a little more. Have a guy that does installations for everything cars, from tires/wheels to audio, video, and security. Hell I think he even dabbles in some bolt on stuff. I will reach out to him and see if he has done this for any customers and get back with you. May be a couple days cause he stays busier than a one eyed cat watchin two rat holes.

Thank you so much for the help, I really appreciate this!
If I have time this week I will take my mirror apart and figure it out too.
