Fuel stabilizer advice

Will be storing my car soon in a heated garage for about 5-6 months. New to this, but someone at work said I'll need a certain fuel stabilizer for premium fuel. Any advice on this...or recommendations on a specific product?

...heated garage, inside storage, car cover. Priceless. Don't sweat the additive.....you will be fine. Unless you go way beyond that time with lack of useage. Once you re imerge burn up the remaining fuel in earnest! Don't fall prey to gloom and doom scenarios.

Sta-bil works fine and you can get it anywhere. I always mix it with gas in my pressure washer, chain saw, and small gas tools that don't get used more than once or twice a year and have never had any problems at all if it keep some in the gas tank.

I use fuel stabilizer and keep my car in heated garage set at 50 degrees, when I pull the car out in the spring I'll run the tank out fill with 92 octain and do a fuse pull..

Sea foam and try make sure that you use Premium without Ethanol. It will make things much easier come spring.

well you can do either,or just store it with 1/4 tank and in a couple of months add another 1/4 tank of fuel to it.Its always better to be safe than sorry,

^^This. As long as you won't be storing it beyond 6 months, the fuel will be fine. I've never used additives, ever...and I store 4-6 months at a time.

Last winter I put my car away with less than 1/8 tank, no additives at all, don't believe in them. Garage temp set at 50, started the car one time in Jan. and had no problems in May. I did take tires off and put them in the basement.

Good as gold. Improves octane. Treats ethanol. Stabilizes fuel for storage. Been using it for over 5 years and have told dozens of people about it and they love it as well. Yes, it says Marine but that is because of "legal" issues with the EPA. Wonderful product!!
