how are the "wrinkles" you were talking about? I know with my grand sport stripes the bubbles went away after they had been out in the sun for a week or so..

But since I think we are going to paint the car within the next month, I'm not worried about it... Some did go away though while it was outside... Can't wait to see what yours looks like. |

Berger Panel?? Should I do it...
Also just got back in from fixing my fenders... The common problem from jacking in the wrong spot and making the front fender flare out from the door. 5 minute fix, just take some vice grips to it and pull it towards the car and it lines back up. Looks so much better with it all lined up. Last edited by LS1-Z28; 08-08-2011 at 05:16 PM. |

No clear, no protection. Even on flat vinyl I've heard the issue is the same. TBH I'd try a Sebring Silver/Camaro Silver berger panel and paint your Bowtie and SS badge outlines NBM. As for the fenders.. I have no clue why people never bother taking the 5 minutes to fix it? Seriously.. there were 4-5 cars at Gratiot (non-club cars that rolled through) and all could have used a little vice grip treatment. |

I've been meaning to do that to my fenders since ive had the car but never did it, so i took 10 minutes out of my day to do it... Best 10 minutes spent by far.. It looks so clean lined up lol |

It looks good by itself without clear right now... Bout 4 coats of it on there lol... The clear I bought was a flat clear.. and when i opened it up the spray nozzle wasnt there lol.. so I'm letting the last coat of black dry right now then putting everything back together then tomorrow after school I'm going to go get a gloss clear coat... And see if It's any better that way... I liked the satin/flat black, but I have heard it is hard to maintain a good look with it when your drying the car off... idk though... I will post some crappy cell phone pics in about an hour! |
