Congratulation, I'm so happy you found a solution. I know how stressful this deal has been, now you can put that behind you and enjoy life and your new car!

congrats on the new car OP. happy it worked out for you. You know, i just wonder how many camaros GM has bought back with all the assorted quality issues from day one. the 2011 and 2012 verts are massive returns, and then even a coupe like the OP has with the rust. it just makes you wonder how the cost is absorbed, by dealer, GM, both, insurance, or us, the consumers in future purchases. but, GM stepped up to the plate here with the dealer. good for you. enjoy the ride

This is a great outcome. To really make this thread complete it would be great to see 4 or 5 pictures underneath. It will really show what a new car should look like. Especially in Arizona.

Persistence and a big stick!
It is unfortunate that I needed to involve a heavy hitter, but that was the motivation needed to get this resolved. Glad it is over!

Congratulations! I'm glad you persevered and got the resolution you wanted.

No doubt, your car will be as rust free in 10 years as it is today!

This is not a warranty issue at all. The car is clearly damaged and should be replaced. Hopefully the dealer will continue working with you, because it is not in his interest for a story of an unsatisfactory resolution to be attached to him.
This was they key to my ultimate success in getting this resolved (Thanks Rock-It). Going after this as a purchase issue and not a warranty or lemon issue (which had and would have failed), opened the door to getting the right people involved.

Got the windows tinted yesterday and hope to get her washed up for the week today!

Thanks again to everyone!

Glad that worked out for you. Your car was rustier than my 2010 Ram truck underneath.
