I just got one for my white car, altho the surrounding edges are painted white, the grill section itself is gloss black, so maybe its gloss black to begin with.
Im too slow, maybe im wrong after seeing the above grille, looks kinda silver on the edges

Is it recommended to spray it with spray can clear coat or just leave it alone?
I thought the heritage grille was too conservative and the T-Rex was better. I wondered why people traded their T-Rex grilles in. After looking at these pics, see why now. |

I heard the T-rex grills rubbed on some parts of the fascia and takes paint off after time...Id get rid of that ASAP too if that was the case. lol

It's too late now, but you can buy Heritage grills pre-painted to match your car for $324. I don't think that is a bad price if it comes painted.
