in a meeting several years ago in Detroit. A GM lubrication engineer answered the question as to what is the best oil available in the US and his answer was Mobil 1. He stated that everything else was a copy of Mobil 1. When asked in the world he replied Shell Helix. This was at least 10 years ago and since then the DEXOS oils have come on the market.
I have always used Mobil 1 in all of my vehicles.
