Making a consistent car on a inconsistent track
Hello
So im thinking on a drag coilover conversion for my 2010 SS, im trying to race the index 12.5 class, the problem is that one pass will hook and do a 1.6-1.7 60ft and the next it will blow the tires off and do a 2.0 60ft. i already have bmr trailing arms, toe rods, LCA's, differential and cradle bushings, weld drag wheels and mickey thompson drag radials. the car weighs 4200lb with me in it, it has 445whp N/A and 600whp on 175hp nitrous system, its been 11.8 N/A with a 1.6 60ft and 10.9@125 with the same 1.6 60ft street/strip car my idea is single adjustable struts for the front and double adjustable for the rears, where im lost is what springs to use in such a heavy car? |

At this moment i have found very little options for the front,
theres Strange double adjustable, im thinking on pairing that with a 16" 200lb spring the Lakewoods 90/10 that are non adjustable and i dont know what spring to use on that Theres also Pfadt drag coilovers but those are really above my budget i read on another thread a recommendation to use 200lb/in springs for the front and 300-350lb/in on the back, but i don't remember the length and cant find the thread again. since everything else is 2011 info ill keep updating this thread |
