Thought i would check in here to see how everyone is doing. Had my car now for three weeks and still learning the new features compared to my 1ss.
Removed the hood wrap this weekend, was up in the air about but like how it is now. Next thing i am going to try and do is install the heritage grill. |

I just added the LED IOM bowtie to my Orange Krate. That was a fun little project. Stuffing my old @$$ into the trunk upside down to wire it was tight to say the least. LOL But it is done. I also had Nikki McLaughlin (graphic artist) create an Orange Krate character (new avatar) for my project. He will be seen in a few strategic places on the car at some point. Motor on! Jim |

Thanks Jim, I saw that you did your own heritage grill. Was it real difficult to do? I am more worried about possibly damaging or cracking the paint on the bumper.

It isn't too difficult if you go slow and have patience. I had a big padded bed spread I put out on the garage floor and then I carried it to the living room and finished it on soft terry towels sitting on the carpet. I went very slow and took photos along the way and it took me about 4 hours. Another guy and I did his for the first time attempt and together the two of us did it in 3 hours or thereabouts. Extra hands helps but I did it alone. I watched the video someone posted so I could get a good visual first. It will look fantastic. I got mine from Becky and Maureen and it was match painted IOM. It arrived quickly from them.

Just installed a larger transmission pan and got to use my new dip stick. I also changed the rear end fluid with Royal Purple. I also changed the rad. fluid.
Have a great week everyone. Bill

It seems as though I won't be able to get my Camaro out this year. LOL... It just plain will not stop snowing here this spring. The average high is now 60 degrees, but we are stuck in the 30's and low 40's with snow or cold rain. This is getting really old. I have not gotten her out onto the highway since last October.
On another note, I registered for the big Camaro Rally at Sturgis, SD. The rally is the last weekend in June and looks like it should be a great time. They have plenty of events set up including two poker runs. It is about a 12 hour drive from here to Sturgis, but hitting the road in my Camaro - I'll have a smile on my face the whole way. Hope the rest of you have better weather. Steve

Rainy weekend. Was going to the Tiger Drive-In for Hot Rod night but not with this weather. They are showing Iron Man 3. Not many drive-ins around anymore.
Have a great weekend everyone. Bill

My wife and I are taking off this afternoon with some friends to celebrate my friend's 50th birthday and my belated 50++ birthday. My buddy Ken is a super master Nissan mechanic as well as parts manager at our local Nissan Dealer. His only downfall is NOT owning a Camaro! He loves mine....But with access to a GTR on a daily basis well... LOL Be safe and find some fun while the roads dry out. Take care and good hearing from you! Jim (and Erica) riding down that long lonesome highway in Orange Krate! :P

Hey you all hear that someone near and dear to us has ordered her THIRD Camaro? Anyone want to venture a guess as to who that is? I guess I am going to have to retire from my current job and become a Chevrolet sales persona! Now there is a clue. Oh... I hear it is a 1LE too. Hmmm makes me want to order a Z28 just because. Have a good rest of the week. JIMBO and Orange Krate PS - New mod finished and being shipped for install real soon! Keep your peepers peeled! |

My son is in the US Air Force stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ. He is an aircraft mechanic and crew chief for the A10 Worthog fighter. Tonight at 6:00 PM he went to O'rielly Chevrolet and picked up his 2013 Camaro. He can only afford a 1LS at this time. It is Inferno Orange with a six sipped manual. He has been waiting for about three weeks for this car to arrive at the dealorship. Needless to say he is very excited to finally take possession. Here is the only pic I have so far. Now father and son both have perma-grins.
