Two quick questions - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Well this is my first post and I will be purchasing a new 2013 Camaro within the next month, I hope. Here are a two questions for one reason or another the dealer couldnt answer or I just forgot to ask:

1.) When the dealer installs the Heritage Grille(Body color grille) and you get the RS package with your car, do they include the RS badge on the bottom right of the grille?

2.) Is the back up camera standard on the car? If so, is it shown on the rear view mirror or the actual screen?

First off Welcome..

#1 you will get no badge at all on the Heritage Grill. Looks pretty good that way too.

#2 I can't answer for you as my 2012 is in the mirror and I don't have a MyLink screen.

Maybe someone else will chime in and let you know.

Not sure about the grille, but you own the original one...don't let them keep it...

I think if you have my-link, back up pic is on that...not sure...good luck.

for 2013 backup camera view is not shown in mirror, but shown in mylink touch display

i have the 2013... the backup cam is 100% on the touch screen.

The buttons on the mirror are touch screen too. It's pretty sweet. I like it a lot better than the interior of my 2011 i had.

:( I didn't get my original grill.. They gave me my original engine cover though..

There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

My dealer wanted to half ass with my grill install so I can only share my experience. In your case, you never know what you can get if you do not ask for it.

Tell them you want your old grill back (I did and it was wrapped up in the trunk) it will have your emblems on it.

In my case I wanted them to remove the bowtie from the heritage grill but they didn't want to mess with it, so I did it myself later, it's a PITA and I can see why they avoided it. You can add your RS emblem later but it doesn't exactly just pop on there the same way it mounts on your stock grill.

You can add the bowtie and RS later if you want. Black Zip-Ties will do the trick, but looks better without the bow-tie. You can add the RS with a couple of ties, after drilling holes in the RS holder.

Back up camera is only on 2LT and 2SS models, unless they changed it for 2013.

I got the Heritage Grill dealer installed and it came with the landing pad and bowtie. I also got my original grill (asked for it... not sure if they'd have given it to me if I hadn't) & it still has the original bowtie and SS badge on it.
