My 3.27 gear/ 28.8 tire combo is looking forward to more gear.
Only concern I have is that I'll be even more annoying to other people on the highway afterwards, because I like instigating stuff.

Mine are in. I like. Ryan did the updated tune.
I'll review in the article I'm doing for GM. Thanks Speed Inc. and GPI and GM!

gears are eventually in my future, and from what I gathered, 3.73's were the way to go with auto because of how short our 1st gear is on the A6? I know when in D, the car starts off in second, but I like to use the paddles from time to time... I thougt I read that 1st is pretty much unusable with 3.91s in the auto?

I don't think most folks should generalize about gears for an L99. I'm going for strong naturally aspirated performance at the track, and I also want the car to tear people up more on the street. But I also DD on drag radials. I can tell based on the RPMs I'm turning on the highway that fuel economy will take a hit but I don't typically drive more than 15 miles a day and once in a great while will do 30-50 miles to get somewhere. The trade-off is worth it to me.
I'm gonna hit the track sometime in July after next week (vac) and will share the results in an article. I just ran a few weeks ago, went 12.2@113 1.69. Car ET'd a little slower since the DA was up from the last time I ran.

Thinking I should do 3.91s more and more now. Have ss2 vvt, 1e and now a weld 17" set up with 28" MTs. It's either gears or save for ss4 and cnc'd heads.
