Goodbye Wrangler !!
Hi Guys,
Just traded my 2011 Jeep Wrangler for the 5.7 hemi beast Grand Cherokee overland. Honestly I was under estimating the power of this car and the when salesman told me you have a Sport option in your transmission in case you like racing I laughed. I have a Camaro man why would I need to race with SUV However, everything has changed after the first test drive. I love this car. The acceleration, the smooth 8 speed transmission, the technology used, the suspension. It is a winner for sure. If you are planning for a solid 4WD SUV believe me this beast will not disappoint you. That Hemi engine growls naturally for god sake with no after market exhausts or headers

I have a love hate with mind. I love the infotainment system better than anything. It is very comfortable to drive and the power is good. What I don't like is that at 18,000 miles it's had many trips to the dealer and has left me set twice. Once with a water pump and later an electrical problem . Not to mention the countless recalls. It seems like one comes every couple of months. I also had one time when my wife couldn't get it to shut off in our garage and it was reving very high. After messing with both key fobs I finally somehow got it to turn off. The dealer could not find a problem and it hasn't done it again, but I'm sure it will show it's face at the worst moment. Good luck. I hope they improved them from 2012. I know 2013 isn't any better because my mother in law is having issues and recalls too. I also had to put tires on it at 15,000 miles because they were shot. Yay! I have a friend that just went through a buy back on a new trailhawk Cherokee. His replacement has been okay so far.

Chrysler is notorious for electrical issues. My buddy had a 2012 Challenger RT that ended up being a lemon due to electrical issues. That was his first and last Chrysler product.

Well guys that photo was in the show room. I will post more photos as soon as the weather gets a bit cooler. Its awful outside
This is my 2nd jeep with no issues at all. I sold the wrangler as it was the old 3.8L with 4 speed only. It also had a hard gas pedal that makes daily driving on high ways awful. The 5.7 is a blessing on highway and picks up really fast.

My wife also says that about our 2011 Sport Unlimited. I'm not certain what that means. I'm a fairly large guy so the drivers seat of the Wrangler isn't all that comfortable for me anyway (unless the doors are off) but I've not noticed that it was difficult to press the gas peddle down. The only real annoyance I have with it is that it seems to be geared to move back and forth between 3rd and 4th right at highway speeds.

Lol I feel bad for the OP with all this negativety. I love the new JGC. With that said, I have 2 friends who bought new ones this year that had go take them in for transmission issues, fortunately it was just a software upgrade and its all good now. Good luck with the Jeep its a beaut!
