2014 3.6 Vert engine bay clean up

Well like the title says I am going to clean up the engine bay on my girls 2014 3.6 Vert. This came about today when she told me she hates going to car shows and not being able to show the engine bay. So I took on the task..LOL.

Most of you may know me from my LS3 1LE engine bay clean up from last year. Now winter is rolling in and we added this car to our stables this summer, I am going to give this a nicer engine bay and yes some new aftermarket performance parts.
Here is some pictures of the car and yes of course the engine bay before the start

Ok so it begins and hey I will learn new things about this V6.

So question 1, is what the hell is the difference between the LLT and LFX? one is auto and one is manual?

Please bare with me as I get familiar with this motor as I have done nothing on the V6's yet.

LLT is 2010 thru 2012 3.6L and the LCD is 2013 to present. First had aluminum intake 312 UP. LTd ha

s plastic intake 323HP. Adams in and out spray will save many hours with cleanup.

The LLT and LFX refer to one of GM's 3.6L V6 engines; the LLT was used in the Camaro in 2010 and 2011 and then was replaced with the LFX in 2012 until 2015 (and then with 2016 came the LGX - another upgraded version), and is basically an updated/upgraded version of the LLT. The most notable changes, I guess, for the LFX would be the composite intake manifold (better for heat transfer) and integrated exhaust manifolds (i.e. there are no "headers" for this engine like there are for the LLT), on the other hand the LFX seems to be much more reliable, and it seems that the majority of engine-problem threads on this forum are for the LLT's.

Thanks guys for the good info for the v6 engines.
Now with that great info from you guys, I now understand why this one has the cheaper looking intake manifold and no actual headers...LOL.

So for the intake manifold im going to smooth it out and then do red carbon fiber dip followed with a high gloss finish. I plan to add some accent areas of the red carbon fiber throughout the engine bay also with some stuff of flat/matte black and some areas and parts I will polish to chrome finish. I will also clean up the spider web of wires etc.

Please feel free to share any ideas or things you guys have done to your engine bays as well.

Amazing how time passes. Well I finally got this thing going. With a big break now on my car to replenish the funds I started working on the wife's car again. Just finished the lambo doors and grill work so now long over do attention to the engine bay. Been working the wires and removing all the plastic junk. You can see the motor now.

ECU moved to cabin filter area. I'm going to keep fuse box in stock location on this one as the wife likes the look of the decorated fuse box and there is not as much room to do what I did with my car by putting the ECU and fuse box in the cabin filter area due to the ECU is larger on the 3.6 than the 6.2. There's 3 connectors and the unit itself is larger so won't fit like it did when I did mine. The clean up of the ECU hidden really cleans up the wires that are right in your face on these 3.6 motors. Should have a clean look once I get the wires done.
