Do you think GM will do the same thing with the warranty and offer 12, 24, 36 month warranty on the Z

Only warranty I saw mentioned was the 12 month warranty on the 525 version. That's just for the blower.

Nice offers above, but the one the Z needs to lookout for is the blower option below......

"Ford Racing has some good news for owners of the 2011 Shelby GT500 who want to increase the performance of their car. The latest addition to the FRPP catalog is part number M-6066-MSVT29D, a supercharger upgrade package for the 2011 GT500 that pushes the aluminum block 5.4-liter V8 to produce 750 horsepower @ 6100 rpm and 670 lb-ft torque @ 4700 rpm. The kit swaps the 2.1L stock blower for a 2.9L Whipple assembly with a “Crusher” inlet allowing for 17 psi of boost. Also included in the package is Whipple’s 123mm MAF housing, a 65mm dual bore throttle body (part #M-9926-CJ65), an upgraded dual fuel pump assembly, and a Ford Racing ProCal tool with a performance calibration. The kit is 50 state emissions legal.

Pricing for the full 750 horsepower upgrade package is set at $6,295.00 with a polished version (M-6066-MSVT29PD) available for $300 more. Those who want to upgrade components separately can purchase the supercharger separately (M-6066-MSVT29TD) for $4,399.00."

Good question, seeing how they can't keep the stock GT500 on the road.

Is there a warranty for that 750hp package?? I'm sure GM knows about this and has something up their sleeve. 750 hp with a warranty(MAYBE??)...YIKES!!!!

I wouldn't even warranty the NON-drive train stuff after 750 HP. AT some point they will start being held liable for inexperienced drivers killing or injuring themselves for buying them.

I would disagree with it, but the way things are going in the country, I could see it happening.

There have already been lawsuits on cars that didn't have stabilitrac and the plaintiff claiming it should have had it.

I'm just saying, don't expect much if ANY warranty. And if there is, don't be surprised if loopholes and red tape disappoint.

Drove a 2011 GT....

My buddy stopped by with his new 2011 5.0, copied me with Fords version of CGM. Well, needless to say, it's not a bad car. I'm not a fan of the interior, but nice notheless. The one thing that I noticed the most was how much the front end raises up during hard acceleration. Is their suspension that much softer than ours?. Other than that, enjoyed experiencing the competition first hand

The SRA (live rear end) will cause the front end to rise on heavy acceleration more. The SRA is generally getter for traction and weight transfer in drag racing applications, thats part of the reason why.

The Challenger and Camaro with the IRS dont lift as high as a result
