There are plenty of V8 rice running around so the notion that a modded 4 cyl. is rice proves you don't really know what a ricer is.

I am not into the ricer thing but can't bash someone for putting their heart and soul into a car that wasn't even supposed to be fast then beating other fast cars with it.

But you see, cars like this must be bashed for all to know that in order to beat a stock worthy car, they must pour their heart and soul into it like you said.

When it is all said and done, after they have blown countless motors and tens of thousands of dollars, many of those ricers begin to acknowledge that a better platform would have suited their need for performance for less money invested.

I say we are doing the younger car enthusiast generation a great disservice to keep perpetuating bull about the performance potential of econo s#it boxes wouldn't you agree?

Lets fight the battle together, so we can educate young ricers that 1200 hp Scions are neither amazing or impressive, it is simply a loser or group of losers spending upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars on research, labor, and parts all to accomplish something they could have paid less for with a different car.

Oh I disagree, I know full and well what rice is, and so do you.

You just have to look deep inside yourself and be a man/woman of conviction to see the truth.

Join me in the war on rice.

for the amount of time, research, and money invested in that 4 banger, you could have had at least double the hp with your favorite ford, chevy, or mopar V8 with less headaches and rwd.

The loser was the guy in 2nd place.
I'm amazed the way that car flat walked on the Z06.
Making V8s fast is easy, what the guy did with that Scion is impressive.

Well we will have to agree to disagree. Rice does not just mean asian and 4 cyl anymore.

performance for dollar spent is a more valid yardstick to measure what is and isn't impressive, wouldn't you agree?

True value is in the mind of the person writing the check. Some will say a Veyron is Overpriced. I would say it worth EVERY single dollar considering the final product. People spend countless amounts of money on project cars that in the end may or may not equal the performance of a cheaper, easier route. This does not mean the final results are any less impressive.
