Hope you have a full recovery.

Tendon danage sucks. Take extra care of it. Do the therapy they give you. The other tendons will surely take up the slack like you were told.

Hope you got some good meds.

Some advice from someone who has been there: Take your time and find a good lawyer. Don't pick the first ambulance chaser you meet. Its a decision that could affect the rest of your life, especially with permanent injury.

what he said!! I didn't pick a really great lawyer in my accident a few years ago, and got a crap settlement that didn't even cover the medical bills.

Best of luck in your recovery! That's pretty scary stuff - the impact was so hard, the front wheel broke!

Especially if you are looking at disability. You'll want legal powers at your right hand when you're ready to settle. You're dealing with the transit authority so that adds complication. The good thing is that they are probably very well insured.

In these high-dollar cases, it's best to have someone tracking the process while you work on healing. You don't need to be worrying about anything else. It also helps the insurance process because then the adjusters have a contact to get hold of all the time who will provide updates about the progress of your settlement.

Good luck, and don't be macho like i was the first time I had surgery and refuse pain meds...lol. Just eat them and then drool all over yourself for a few days while you get back on your feet. Pull up a chair on here and let us entertain you...

Just stumbled upon this thread, glad to hear your alive and in good spirits. Hope your recovery goes well. GM saved my life as well. Tried to avoid a head on collision but the oncoming car hit the rear of my GMC. I walked away after rolling 1 - 3 times. Noone could tell us how many times we rolled. The truck was totalled. Things like this really make us think about what is important in our lives. The car is replacable, your life is not. Stay positive and our thoughts are with you. I will always own a GM.
