Its here!!
So all my goodies from Jannetty have safely arrived. My ESS kit with the vortech blower, ID 1050s, ZL1 pump, fpcm, bap system, and a bunch more supporting mods. Have a question. To those who have changed their fuel pumps, roughly what shoud the fuel level be so I dont dump gas all over my garage when I pop out the fuel pump assembly? I'm currently a little over 1/4 tank

I would get it as low as you can. Do you plan on dropping the tank or cutting an access hole under the back seat?
I swapped mine out last weekend after the "low fuel warning" was on and didn't have any spill issues. Also had a bucket in the car to put it in after pulling it out.

Cutting a hole you really don't have any worries. It can be done at nearly any level but I would say half tank should be ok. If you were doing the Aux pump you want it super low.

OK, great. I wasnt sure how low that part of the tank was. I should be good to go at a touch over a 1/4 then

Everything I've read says get it as low as you can, even if cutting an access hole. I should be doing mine this weekend so I've been researching and looking at Google images, the tank is an odd shape to force the fuel towards the pump.

Yea we dropped the tank when we did mine, I was at 1/8th tank. You should be good at 1/4, just have some rags with ya to wrap it up after removal.

Mine was about the same level and was this full on level ground. It’s more than I thought.

Tanks are molded so the pump stays submerged so they don’t overheat and have access to all the fuel.
