11 V6 vs 01 Honda S2000?
A friend just bought a Honda S2000, and was talking about going to the local track. He took me for a ride in it, and I was impressed with how quick it was. I took him for a ride in my Camaro, and he thinks I would take him in the quarter. My Camaro is a manual, and is stock, except for an Air Raid. After riding in the S2000, I think it would be a very close race, and think he may even have an advantage. He said it's a bit slow off the line, and doesn't really start pulling until the RPMs build. He didn't get on it from a dead stop; he waited until the RPMs were around 6,000, and then stomped it. It threw me back pretty hard, and climed hard and fast. He hit second right at 9,000 RPMs, and got a little chirp. The Honda is bone stock. I must say, I really like the car. It is beautiful, corners amazingly well, and has more oomph than I expected. It's a 2001, and is bone stock. So, what do you think? Personally, I think we could run several times, and split wins, depending on how we each drive on a particuliar run.

Probably a driver's race. You can never tell how well maintained a 11-year-old used car has been maintained. They were around 14.0-14.2 when new, and with your CAI you should be about the same. Only true way to find out is to take it to the track.

Problem with the S2K is it needs to be like 25,000 RPM for it to have any power. Once the V-tec kicks in tho, they are pretty fun! They are just hard to launch because the power band is like 7200 RPM or something crazy like that.
Get a good jump on him off the line and hes yours. Good luck! |

They are high 13's cars on their best day and can be as slow as 15's if driven improperly. They are meant for the circuit or autox, however, and are hugely satisfying to drive when the roads get curvy..

It's all right. I ain't losin'. This fool is running a Honda 2000. I'll win. Then me and my dad can roll together when he gets out of prison. It's all good.
