Ok here is my stock bar (small one) and the 1LE one. I have a 2012 convertible. What am I missing. I tried to fit it up and it is nowhere close to fitting

You have the old style LCA. You need the new style for the mounting points to align correctly.

Honestly it would be easier to just get a set of aftermarket bars that will fit your year.

In 2013 the Camaro went to the same set up as the ZL1. FE4 for a stock SS FE5 for the ZL1 and FE6 1LE.

Weird 2010/2011 used the older style LCAs and the 2012s went to the new ones

I thought that too. But figured I remembered wrong since his didn't have it. Maybe it's an early production '12?

No biggie. Look at the outer edge of the LCA. If it has a round reinforced hole all you need are two drop links. If there are no holes in the bottom o the arm you need two arms and two drop links to finish the install.

FYI -- All RLCA on the GM parts room shelf now fits ALL 5th Gen models regardless of year and accommodates both style arms.

What would be a better shock to replace my original SS shocks. 1LE, or Koni shocks? Also, is the 1Le rear shock mount special?. Is it an upgrade or is it just a different mont for the 1LE shock?

It would be better to replace the whole system with the 1LE parts...
