Once you start modding u cant stop. Upgrading one part wears out the next part faster. I started out installing headers and ended up with a full mod lol

If GM could improve gas mileage with a cam change I'm quite sure that would be the cam they used.

But GM had to create the car for a majority of users, and I doubt most users are driving 90 miles round-trip to work every day.

I have 5th gen L99 with Afm and Dod i was averaging 23mpg i did msd plug wires longtube headers deleted cats resignator and straight piped it cold air intake chromolly push rods afm dod delete Btr stage 4 cam and im averaging 18 mpg after all the bolts and cam package best money spent is gonna be longtubes and straight pipping it and do a cam and l99 to ls3 conversion if your automatic give Josh a shout at TxLSX if your around tx he built mine i daily it 80 miles one way 6 days a week so around 800 miles a week no issues

My mpg went up after my cam on strictly hwy driving. I got 22 mpg on a 200 mile trip, that was up from 19 stock.
