4.10's and the 1/4
Anyone with an M6 that has numbers before and after the swap? Just wondering how much quicker the car is after doing the swap.

Will it be quicker?
Doesn't it force an additional shift to 4th? Is it worth that? |

You're making it down the 1/4 in three gears? I think I bounce off the limiter right about 100 mph (but it's been quite a while). What I'm interested in is how much tire spinning is going on in first and second. Is it a lot harder to work with now?

I too am also seriously considering swapping to 4.10's. Right now I cross the line in 4th at 125 mph but I don't know what rpm. I'm to busy hanging on. There is now doubt that it will be helpful getting the car up to speed but my worry is that I'll spin like crazy off the line. I think if you guys are on the stock tires and not a drag radial and are looking for any help in the 1/4, you may need to change tires to reap the benefits.

But, I have done over 105 in 3rd. And have been told redline is at 110. Now I am not sure what the 1/4 trap speeds are, but I thought they were right at 109. I could be wrong. |

Fuel cutoff at 6600 RPM would be 114 MPH in 3rd gear with the 3.45 rear.

Should be just over 5000 RPM.
