I tried B/F then Nittos. 555s just ok now M/t’s SS 2014 Zl1 A6

Living in Quebec, summer tires will out-perform all season tires maybe 10 days out of the year.

Get some high performance all season tires, for example BFG Comp2 A/S (I have these and I live in chilly coastal New England). Tirerack.com has articles on tests comparing high performance all season tires.

Thats why I went with the BFG's plus I can drive the car deeper into fall without worry.

Thank you all for the great recommendations. I will let you know what U decide but a good set of all-seasons seems like it might be the way forward.

Thing is a lot of people on this forum only drive their cars in nice weather and the weekends and store it during the snowy days so take peoples advise here as is.

Did a lot of research on this, and ended up with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+……modern all season ultra high performance tires have about 90-95% of their summer-only counterparts grip. I’m willing to trade that for a tire that lasts longer and can be driven year round. If you did lots of competitive driving or lived in a warmer area a summer-only tire would be ok, but I’d opt for a quality all season tire. I came close to the General G-max AS-05, but the Michelin’s went on sale and I couldn’t resist.

I had a few sets of Continental DWS06's on the stock rims and I really liked them. They work well if you want to drive on cooler days in April and September/October. I live in Toronto and store my camaro for the winter, so I want to maximize how much I drive it when I have it out.

When I got wider rims a while back I gave Nitto 555G2's a shot. They are definitely sticky when it's warm, but I have to be careful when driving in cooler conditions, think below 12-15C, especially if it's raining. That first sunny day in April when it's only 10C but feels like summer, the Nittos do not have grip. You can still go for a cruise, but can't step on it.

I've also never heard anything bad about a Michelin Pilot Sport tire (any of them), but they are more expensive than Nittos. I have never run a set... so far.
