Help: Qrtr Panel Damage Advice.

Guys,
Some AHole ran through my fence last night and took off.
He plowed down 30yds of cedar split rail fence. Bummer enough.

But a post hit the top edge of my quarter panel. Pics attached.

From the looks of it, it creased the topline pretty good, but it also created a bulge.

Can this be repaired easily?
I don't see where the panel ends around the door frame. Should I push for repairs to replace the panel?
Should I insist on dealer repairs or go to a body shop.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I am way bummed. The car is only 4 months old, 4500 miles.

Yikes! That sucks. I would get the panel replaced. IMO - No amount of pulling, welding, filling, bondo ect. will get that back to 100% perfect. Just re-manipulating the metal will require a re-paint anyways, you may as well have them replace the panel.

Insurance won't pay for new 1/4 panel on a small dent. Depending on your deductible you may want to fix it on your dime.

paintless dent removal can get all of that out without a trace. As long as the paint didnt crack, the damage is in an area that is easy for PDR to get to. I d look into it. I wouldnt get the quarter panel replaced unless i really had to.

Here is what had to be done to mine to fix a small dent in the gills. I had the dealer body shop fix it but had numerous problems - scratched back window then chipped paint around the window after replacement..but the end product look perfect. They said this was the only way to insure it looked new. They cut it out and welded in a new one.

PDR can't fix this.
1)The paint cracked pretty bad.
2) It is not just a dent, but a bulge in a complex curve, right where the normal edge would be. It raised a small part about 1/2 inch.

I think they can get at the inside, so they might be able to pound it out. Definately gonna have to re-paint.
