RS halos

Has anybody upgraded their factory halogens to the factory halos the RS package holds?? And if so how much of a PITA is it to do the swap. Really wishing I got the rs package. The halos really grew on me!

Pretty sure it'd be cheaper/easier just to buy some eagle eye headlights.

I am working on doing the same thing you are talking about. I have an LS, so no RS option, but I love the halo look. I found a set of lights on ebay for around $800. From what I understand you just need a different wiring harness for the RS lights, which you can get from member Ottobody for $100 and works for all non-RS cars. I am also getting the dual white/blue Oracle halo rings, so I will have some additional wiring work to do.

My dual color halo rings just arrived with the mail! Now to order the harness and find a shop to get the rings installed.

Oh, and +1 to trying to sell the halogens afterward.

I got the eagle eyes. The install wasn't all that difficult. Check out some of the DIY videos. I just followed that. Took about 2 1/2 hours. The OEM housings shouldn't take much more than that.

Make sure you use the custom harness there is actually a GM bulletin out about retroing them in and splicing the non halo harness and it causing fires! GM says not to do it but if you use the custom harness you should be fine!

A retrofit is much better quality and outperorms eagle eyes hands down. And can replicate RS headlights easily. And uses OE quality parts.

DIY. Feels so much better afterward to be able brag and say you did it yourself. I know thats how I feel.
