LED Fog and DRL questions, too hot? (Yes, another LED DRL / Fog lamp question)
I'm about to purchase GEN5DIY bulbs:
DRL: PSX26W 50 watt 5000k FOG: H11 80 watt 5000k Does anybody run this combination? I'm looking for something brighter. AND obviously matching the color of the HID / Halo. (Yeah I've read even the 80 watt replacements are still not that bright, but look a lot better) My biggest concern is that (even though they are LED) they might be too hot for the socket. Anybody have any experience with either? Thanks in advance for the help.

We and many venders sale the LED in that power,and to date i dont think any one has had any problems with them getting too hot for the socket.
we have a lot of members with the light in there cars. One more thing the lower fogs on the Z use H11 and the socket on that light is metal. |

Got 'em 2SSRS@Gen5diy, and they look great. Thanks for the quick shipping!
Pictures below are before and after. I actually think that the fog lamps (80w) are ABOUT the same as the stock one, maybe a little less output. The 50w DRLs are brighter than stock, and are DRAMATICALLY better, in my opinion. To me the 5000K matches just about perfect with the headlights. Yes, they pictures are landscape when they should be portrait. And they're big. Sorry. Phone pics, and lazy.

My first post says the ones I ordered. Go to gen5diy.com and you'll see them under the Fog and DRL section.
The 80 w are in my personal opinion slightly less output than the stock ones. But, the stock ones didn't do much. The 50 w drls, seem much brighter to me over stock. Just looks better than the stock "yellow" bulbs to me.
