Goodbye V6 ! Hello V8, yea........

Oh yea, I did it, couldn't help it. I traded my Black 2LT in for a brand spankin' new Red Jewel Tintcoat 2SS today. Totally excited.......

I would have brough er' home today but because they didn't give me what I wanted for the LT, I demanded that they swap out the PVC Black Chrome wheels I just put on the LT onto the SS. I'm happy about that....

I'll post some more pictures when I get it home tomorrow but here are a couple of the car in the service dept ready for Mondays wheel swap...

That's probably the cheapest 122 hp power upgrade that a V6 owner can do.
Now you have the same power that a supercharged V6 would have plus you still have a full factory warranty!!!
Congrats!! You will love it.

It's moves like this that have me wondering why GM made V6 versions of this car at all. Obviously they don't generate any money because nobody cares about them. Eventually with their price points per trim, GM is going to price this car (and themselves for that matter) right out of existence.

I for one appreciate V6 Camaros. That's all I see around here so it keeps my SS in the minority rather than the majority.

In my limited knowledge of these things I don't think (I may be wrong,if I am I stand corrected) that wheels off an LT will fit on an SS. If being aftermarket the just may. Just throwing it out there. Congrats on the trade!

the wheels in the RS package fits all models of theCcamaro you are thinking of the 19 and 18 inch wheels that wont fit on the SS due to the size of the brembo brakes

If his LT had the RS package then it won't be an issue. BOth come with 20" wheels.

You are wrong about the V-6. GM sold the OP two Camaros instead of 1 like the rest of us V-8 buyers bought. After GM is done selling V-8's to us enthusiasts, the six will become the bread and butter car for them. It takes a descerning eye to spot the differences. The six is more than $10,000.00 cheaper. Look at Japanese motorcycles for a good example. Kawasaki does not make much if any money on a ZX-10, 1000 cc Ninja, but having this image builder allows them to sell many, many ZX-6 600 cc motorcycles. The 1000 cc model is called a loss leader.
