Had a weird experience this past weekend.

I was running at NJMP Thunder this past weekend. During my first session Friday I noticed the car was surging at WOT. Then the check engine light started flashing. So I headed to the pits. By the time I got to my pit the light was off. I've never heard of the light turning off. I barrowed a friends scanner and it said I had a random misfire. I started the car and now the ABS light is on, the stabilatrack light is on and the power steering isn't working. I drive the car a bit and the ABS light goes off and the power steering start working again but the stabilatrack is still lit and the car is running like crap. I scan it again an now it says cylinder 8 has the misfire.

Luckily I live about 25 miles from the track so I drove my truck home (I always trailer the car to the track) grabbed some plug wires and spark plugs. When I get back to the track I wanted to determine if it was a plug, plug wire or coil pack so I swapped the #8 plug and wire with the #2 plug and wire. Misfire moved to #2. So I swapped the plug and wire misfire is gone. Also go are all the lights that where lit.

Car ran great the rest of the weekend and I did have anymore warning lights.

So why would a misfire cause the ABS, power steering and stabilatrack to mess up?

It pulls power and causes everything to go from what I understand is limp mode so you dont damage the car.
