you really need to look at your full tire size to really know. ex. 305/35/20

I want to run a 20x9 on 275/35 & 20x10.5 on 295/35 or 305/35 but I really don't know if its possible as nobody has tried it.

Go 275/40 up front and you'll be good with those rear sizes.

Best regards,

Tyler, I know the 275/40/20 is a good size as far as height I ran it before.

Im just wondering if a 275/35 is a option.

for example a nitto invo 275/35/20 and a 315/35/20 will mean a very close to 5% height difference... may throw off computer. have you seen this done yet?

In a Vette, it would be a 273/35 in front with a 315/30 in the rear. You are right at the limits of computer tolerance.

The rear is the right size, but the front needs to be a higher profile(the middle number). With that width(255), you should have a 45 profile, the 35 is too small making the outer diameter too small and throwing the computer out of whack. That 255/35/20 tire is approximately 27", where it should be 29" to match the rear.

As Pete said, you'll likely want to go with a 30 series sidewall in the rear with a 315 if you're going 275/35 up front.

Here is how tire sizing works:

275/40/20 for example

275 is the tread width measured in millimeters.
40 is 40% of the tread width (wider tire = taller sidewall if the ratio is not changed)
20 is the wheel diameter.

So when you go wider, you have to drop the aspect ratio of the sidewall profile to keep the sidewall the same height.

Here is a good Tire Size Calculator for reference.

Best regards,

Tyler

I have frequently found myself asking shops performance specific questions only to be met with blank stares or given a line of BS that is blatantly incorrect if not dangerous. You would think I would quit asking.

thanks,

I decided on a 245/40 (20x9) and 315/35 (20x10.5) nitto invo.
